Where to shop IRL in NYC when you love The Row, Khaite, Totême, etc. but are on a budget ?
Main Post:
Hi to all the amazing NYCBWT !
I am coming to NYC next week for a last minute honeymoon trip (our initial trip got canceled) & I would like to know where to go shopping IRL in NYC when you love The Row, Khaite, Totême, etc. but are on a budget.
I am thinking small boutiques that carry similar styles but at a different price points or shops that are not common out of USA (Im from Canada).
I created this Ssense cheatlist on a previous thread about where to find good quality clothing, so it gives you a good idea of the brands that I like : Camilla & Marc, St-Agni, Arch The, Mekong Park, Nothing Written, Studio Nicholson, etc.).
I was thinking Reformation, And other stories & The Frankie Shop, but there most be better options out there. Major thank you in advance !
PS. I already have COS/Massimo Dutti/Aritzia/Zara/HM/Uniqlo where I live.
EDIT : A big heartfelt thank you to this community, I curated an incredible shopping list under an hour. Its amazing ! I'm just speechless. :-)
Top Comment: Reformation quality is AWFUL these days
NYC boutique fitness similar to ModelFIT (R.I.P)
Main Post:
I've been a classpass girlie for years in NYC and cannot seem to find a studio that does the type of workout (Sculpt, CardioSculpt) that i found at ModelFIT back in 2017/2018. It's basically light weights/pilates/etc but mostly standing up, with a wooden platform/bands as props. not sure how else to describe it. P.volve is trying to do something like it but the instructor I had did not impress me at all. Some of the past modelFIT instructors went to a place called Angles Wellness but i think now that place only does private lessons. Can anybody help plssssss just trying to get sculpted in a chill and fun way!! Ty

I never took ModelFIT but check out Soto Method. They have a pop up on the UES right now but their studio in Tribeca should open back up later this year.
Boutique in NYC - What to expect?

Hello Sezanettes of Reddit! I’m heading to NY in a couple of weeks and I wonder if the shop in Manhattan is worth a visit... or not? Thanks! ❤️

I was so excited to go when I went to nyc a few months ago. Let’s just say the experience was lacking. It was super packed. I tried for 20 minutes for someone to help me try on a pair of shoes, which never happened so left the store empty handed. Try and not go during busy times!!

Oh this is STUNNING!!! I’ve always fantasised about jade gator, just because I feel like it’s so whimsical and tongue-in-cheek, like you’re carrying a cartoon coloured gator bag. Absolutely obsessed!!! Please enjoy in good health 💜

Those are both beautiful options. I'm currently rocking the 3881-08 AMG chrono, but the standard blue and green are gorgeous as well and that bracelet are class
NYC dress boutique recommendations for under $5k
Main Post:
I have no idea where to start with dress shopping. Anyone have any recommendations? What was your experience like? Any tips before going into the process?

I actually think most boutiques will be fine with that price range. My max budget was $1500, so there were a lot I didn’t go to. I went to the Jenny Yoo store (lovely experience, great dressing rooms), BHLDN (fine, where I purchased my dress, but I didn’t love my consultant), and RK Bridal (massive selection at a range or prices, I loved my consultant here and overall it was my favorite shop even though it’s not where I bought my dress).
When in NYC - First Boutique Denim!
Main Post:
Work took me to the city this weekend, and I had to make a stop at Naked & Famous. The fellas in the shop were great! These are my first pair of boutique denim.
I walked in ready to leave with a few pair, but it seems that any waist sizes over 32 are a tall order at N&F. However, they just happened to have THE ones I really wanted. I love these Dia De Los Muertos! Now I’m jones’n for some Elephants and the NYCs, but I’ll have to wait for a restock.
I’m 5’8”, around 210 (lost 10 lbs in the past month and still going!), and wound up with the 33 Weird Guys.
I’m curious, do y’all have a set amount of time or wears you wait until the first wash, or just whenever feels right? I’ve told myself 6 months.
Top Comment: Those fit you great and given the shirt you're wearing in the last pic, seem to match your style really well too. Nice pick! Personally, I just wash them a few times a year or whenever they get dirty.
